As the weather turns colder, are you thinking about undertaking a personal challenge next year? If so consider raising money for VCHP as an added incentive.
On the very hot weekend of 14-15 July, Louise and Philip managed to avoid heatstroke and successfully completed the very impressive 100 Km Race to the Stones. Louise had never run further than 13 miles before and Philip’s longest run was to complete the 26 miles of a marathon.
They felt such amazing achievement to even reach the halfway overnight camp at 31 miles never mind to get up at 5am the following morning ready to set off and cover the remaining 31 miles. They proudly crossed the finish line on Sunday afternoon having covered each of the 100 kilometres side by side. The icing on the cake is they managed to raise £1120 for VCHP, so they made every step count from start to finish. This will run one of our clinics for 6 weeks.
