Stepper UK Ltd
Stepper have committed to a fourth year of support, and will be making a donation of £10,000 2023-2024 to cover the projected shortfall for the Birmingham clinic. Thank you Stepper for your generous donations towards the running costs of our clinics – now totalling nearly £32,000.
The Fore – We have received a grant of £30,000 over 3 years from The Fore. The grant will be used for the salary of a part-time New Clinic Development Manager.

City Bridge Trust – We have received a grant of £37,100 over 3 years from the City of London Corporation’s charity, City Bridge Trust. The grant will be used for the salary of a part-time Volunteer Manager.
Topcon GB Ltd – Slit lamp and tonometer for the Skylight clinic – Slit lamp table for the Passage – Generous donation of a Retina Camera (£14,000) for the Skylight clinic. Donation of all the equipment for the Broadway and Brighton clinics including slit-lamp, tonometer, field screener and volk lens.
Essilor – Generous financial donation of £5000 a year for the first 3 years to VCHP Birmingham clinic. All glazing and spectacle lenses for Crisis Open Christmas from 2007 to current day. Took over the glazing and lenses for our Crisis Skylight clinic which runs 2 days a week from May 2011. Have selected VCHP to be one of their 3 charity partners for 2019-22, over this period Essilor have committed to take on a number of fundraising activities in support of VCHP and have recently donated PPE to support the safe re-opening of clinics during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Specsavers – Have donated thousands of spectacle frames for our Crisis Christmas service as well as the normal weekly clinics. Generous financial donation for the set-up of our Brighton clinic in 2012 and they are covering the running costs for the first three years. They also provided the majority of the equipment for our clinic in Manchester. Their charity golf day in 2021 raised £2000 for VCHP.
SDP
Stratford Development Partnership Charity (SDP) – Made a donation of £15,000 in December 2007. In March 2011 they donated £9,000 to fund the set up and first year of running of our Broadway clinic in Shepherds Bush. In 2014 they donated a further £10,000.
Specs of Kensington: Patients, staff and practice owner, Daska Barnett, have together raised over £18,000 for Vision Care for Homeless People in the last 7 years- enough to run one of VCHP’s clinics for three years. Donated a slit lamp, visual field screener and lap top after a practice refurbishment. Bought Elaine Styles’ Olympic Torch for the 2012 Olypmic Games Torch Relay. Daska has supported Elaine Styles in all her fundraising events and promoted Vision Care for Homeless People in the practice.
Our application to Central England Co-operative’s ‘Making a Difference Community Dividend’ has been successful with the charity due to receive £1000.00 towards our clinic at SIFA Fireside in Birmingham.
The Sovereign Health Care Community Programme has awarded VCHP a grant towards the establishment of our new clinic in Leeds. Sovereign Health Care is proud of its long history of charitable giving, which is made possible because we have no shareholders, so any surplus we make is available to either reinvest in the business or award to community or charitable initiatives with a health and wellbeing focus.
Three-Sixty, a leading supplier and wholesaler of eye care and eye wear products and medicines to opticians and ophthalmic professionals in the UK, has joined our fantastic team of donors and supporters. They have provided important medications for our clinics in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
Goodlookers are an online supplier of fabulous reading glasses, sunglasses and accessories. Lenstec Optical Group are one of the largest spectacle lens manufacturers in the UK. Lenstec were delighted to be approached and look forward to the opportunity of supporting the new VCHP clinic in Leeds with the supply and fitting of prescription spectacle lenses.

Birmingham Optical Group – Donations from Christmas e-cards totalling £2500; Provided all the optical equipment for the set up of our Birmingham clinic in 2008; provided engineers and transport when our Birmingham clinic moved in 2012.
Pinnacle Psg – Made a donation of £2500. Provided our administrative office space, including phone and internet access, free of charge for four years and continue to provide a boardroom for trustee meetings.
Horizon Optical – thousands of spectacle frames, Complete glazing done at cost price for our first two London centres for the first seven years. They now provide free lenses and glazing for our Brighton clinic which opened in 2012.

FMO: has adopted Vision Care for Homeless People as its official charity and is delighted that many of its members are already supporting the work in London and Birmingham with testing equipment, lenses, frames and glazing. Donated a stand at Optrafair 2011, 2013 and 2014 free of charge.

Shamir UK Ltd – Provided all the glazing and lenses for the Broadway Centre clinic since May 2011. From October 2023 Shamir will be providing glazing for the new VCHP clinic in Bristol.
Optoplast (part of the Millmead Optical Group) – Have regularly donated spectacle cases and cleaning cloths since we started in 2003 – now totalling thousands donated.
Haag-Streit UK – Have donated a slit lamp to our Birmingham clinic and two Perkins tonometers, boxes of Tonosafe disposable tonometer heads, Cross Cylinders, PD rulers and Near Vision reading charts for our London and Brighton clinics. They also provide regular ongoing servicing and calibration for all our Perkins tonometers.
Bondeye Optical Limited – Donated a frame heater and an extensive supply of repair tools, nose pads and screws etc for the set up of our Broadway, Brighton and Manchester clinics. Donated a new focimeter for the Birmingham clinic. Donation of repair tools for all the London clinics and for Crisis Christmas.
Thomson Software Solutions – Test Chart 2000 programme for all of our clinics, including the infra-red remote controls. Thank you also for providing the monitor and micro pc for Gloucester.

Five members of the Performance Finance Team (Stuart Burn, Peter Ward, Pete George, Neil Verlander & Stacey Pywell) completed a Tandem Free Fall Skydive on the 20th August 2011 to raise £1,530.32 for Vision Care For Homeless People.
