Knowle & Dorridge Lions have chosen VCHP as one of their charity for 2013. Fancy a challenge to raise money for Vision Care for Homeless People and enjoy a bike ride with a choice of 20km, 30km or 50km signposted circular routes through delightful Warwickshire country lanes? Or a walk with a choice of 4, 8 & 11 mile sign-posted loops along country lanes, footpaths & towpaths? On Sunday 7th July the events starts between 9:30 am to 11:30 am from the grounds of historic Baddesley Clinton B93 0DQ. Check out the Lions website.
All cycle routes have refreshment points and are well sign posted with marshals at key points. This year in a totally new event, in addition to the Heart of England Bike Ride and Heart of England Walk the Lions are adding wrap around entertainment to our traditional events to keep all the family amused. Return to Baddesley Clinton to enjoy a pig roast, BBQ, stalls and medieval entertainment from Swords of Chivalry. Entry to the house is free for participants.
In the historic grounds of Baddesley Clinton, be waved off on your Bike Ride or Walk by the Knights, their Squires and Ladies of Swords of Chivalry. Return to watch medieval fighting, dine from our Pig Roast stall and BBQ and enjoy a host of entertainment stalls and help us raise money for the Lions worthy causes.
The entry fee of £10 for the bike ride goes to the British Heart Foundation but the income from all the other events from the day is split between three charities, one of those being Vision Care for Homeless People.
